I went out and checked on my WS containers and noticed white fuzzy looking stuff on the dirt surface of one if my containers. Is this b/c it's not getting enough air or something? I cracked the lid a little so a little bit more air coud get in there. The others looked fine. What is causing that?
Thanks

mold?
I don't know. I don't think I've ever seen while mold on mine. I have had green stuff that looks more like some kind of algae, though, and that usually happens after heavy rain. It usually doesn't seem to affect the plants.
If you have while fuzzy stuff, it does sound like mold. Has that one germinated? I'd open it, maybe try misting with H2O2 solution or chamomile? Just a mist, not much more moisture.

OK thanks. I do have some with the green "algae". That one might have too. At work so I
can't check it. Will try the H2O thing though.
Thanks

dawn -- last year i lost A LOT of seeds to mold. mostly green algae type, but i've seen white before too.
do spritz with water and peroxide, and give them more air flow.
last year, i found the holes in the bottoms were most likely not big enough, and we had a wet spring... so many seeds molded/rotted.
