Fertilizing impatiens

Chicago, IL(Zone 5b)

Wow, I am full of questions today. :) My Tempo Blue Satin impatiens are looking nice and stocky and some are working on their third set of leaves. I was about to give them a bit of fertilizer but Stokes website says not to. What do you guys think? Would you stay away from fertilizing impatiens? What is the downside to doing so? Here's a pic of one of the babies.

Wow, your impatiens look great! I started my own and have the same question. However mine just germinated around a week and a half ago. So mine are tiny! Can I ask how old is your seedling posted here? Are you growing in a soil-less mix? I must say your plants look great! Sorry I am not the one providing answers. Hopefully someone skilled will answer all these questions.
Here is my impatiens 5 days ago. I am so envious of yours :( ! ha ha!

Awww, that's a cutie! He will get big in no time. I sowed mine February 14th, and they germinated five days later so they've had a little over three weeks to get to this size. I bottom water with H2O2 and chamomile tea and keep the plugs moist (impatiens like it wetter). I also have the little guys very close to the lights and run a fan on them all day. Right now they are in the Parks BioDome plugs but I plan on moving them into 4" pots of Pro Mix very soon (maybe today or tomorrow). I hope someone has answers for us! I'm tempted to fertilize a tad just because it seems like the right thing to do.
