Okay, so I have about 50 milk jugs with wintersown seeds. I'm assuming that I'll eventually have a bunch of little seedlings to take care of. What's the next step? Do you transfer the babies to individual pots? Do you plant them directly in the garden? (and if so, how big do they need to be before you do either of these things?) If you transplant them to individual pots what do you use?
Thanks so much. Looking forward to seeing some green soon!

Preparing for the next step . . .
I transplant them directly in the ground.Eventually they will start to out grow the container. That is when to take the tops off. That will give them more room heightwise.Depending on the plant, but generally speaking. When the weather is staying above 50 degrees at night on a weekly basis.I start planting.Start with the largest plants first and work down to the smallest.Usually takes me a couple of weeks to get everything planted or longer.Edge
ditto what Edge said.
mine stay in their containers until they go into the ground. usually as soon as i can get to them, but last year some were still in their containers until Sept. some even bloomed in there. I just ran out of time. [Ok - i wasn't home much, to get them in the ground ... but they all did fine non the less.]
