glorious pot of pastel blooms, sorry I don't have any idea of the cultivar (name washed out in photo)

I've never seen an orchid in this brilliant shade of yellow before... it won a blue ribbon, too.

While we're on the topic of orchids, this was a "modern" and rather different way to display them... on a large, squarish wall with water trickling down behind them into the basin below.

Till Ric got done with his DR appt it was about 3:00 till we got there and we tired out after about 5 hours and headed home. I had one thing I wanted to pick up in the vendor area so we didn't linger at the stands. We were both just too worn-out to see as much as usual but really had a great time.
I don't think I've ever seen anything like this 1st place winner mini Clematis. I need to check this one out, not sure if that's all the bigger they get or if it was Bonsi. The smaller one in front of it is also a Clematis but didn't get a pic of that tag so I'm not sure if it's the same one. That is an Azalea Tree in the background. Clematis X Cartmanii "Joe"

Critter, I love your photos--thank you for sharing them. I was there on Sunday and loved it, however, it was extremely dark--it seems as if they may haved added more ceiling light after Sunday. My unsophisticaed camera wasn't able to capture an entire scene in light--just close-up. I also have one pic of the forsythias you have above--this was lit up beautifully. see below.

Snug, :o)

Did you see this unusual (philodendron?) plant. It's a Monstera pertusa. I love the white contrast.

My hubby purchased a Bonsai Weeping Pussy Willow, Salix Caprea Pendula at the flower show. It's not supposed to get any larger than what appears in this pic, which is c. 16 inches tall.

What an awesome tour!! Thanks for taking so much time to share it!! Thank You!!

I think the yellow clivia is 'Aztec Gold' I have had one for about 4 years now, maybe this year it will bloom for me!

Thanks, again! That was WAY nice of you to share all that with us!

Wonderful! I think we all focused on different things, because I'm seeing things that I don't remember from Wednesday, LOL. We knew we hadn't managed to see "everything" by a long shot, but we definitely reached a point of saturation where anything additional just wasn't sinking in. (We were there for nearly 8 hours, not counting our lunch expedition).

The lighting was pretty low on most areas. My camera does pretty well in low light situations, but I took a *lot* of blurry photos all the same. I opted not to use the flash much, because the colors etc. just come out better without it -- but I should probably have used it more. You just can't always detect a little bit of blur or graininess when you're looking at the little LCD display.

We found the spring bulbs after our lunch break... tulips on parade!

Phabulous photos, thanks so much for sharing them, but now I'm pea green with envy................someday I hope to visit this venue. Loved the hypertufa pots with little scenes in them. Have been to Italy and I will guarantee you that anyone with a yard or a patio has outdoor tables for dining. Some are under grape arbors.................lovely

Brunswick, MD(Zone 6b)

It's amazing that they can get something on that grand a scale indoors and still have all the flowers and plants in perfect condition.

In case anyone might be interested, butterfly bush in italian is "arbusto delle farfalle" and to prune is "potare". I used it in my italian class homework last night :)

I can't believe we missed the AVs.. I knew they were there somewhere, but we'd lost our map and decided that we'd just see whatever we happened to come upon.

Terri did buy herself an African violet, though!

I did see those tulips, though... nice little scene!

The potted tulips had some neat specimens...

'Mickey Mouse' is one of the most vibrant color combos I've ever seen... If you like it in catalog photos, you'll love it in person.

Remarkable form on this one -- might be what they call "parrot" tulip?

Miniature Dutch Iris 'Katharine Hodgkin' is a very delicate shade of silvery blue. It may have been just the lighting in here, but this one is no longer on my want list.. very pretty, but I think it would just disappear into the silvery tones of the faded mulch.

love the picotee edge!

Here's that little garden with the circular path that Terri mentioned... the path is made from curved pavers, which seemed to be available as a kit.

Nicotiana sylvestris... we did our best to get a sniff, but 1. I think it's more fragrant in the evening, and 2. the oriental lilies a couple feet away were pretty overpowering!

Leopard's Bane, 'Little Leo'

This one has just jumped up to the top of my "gotta gettit" list -- too cute for words, big happy flowers on a short plant.

Columbine, 'Grandmother's Garden'

(am I including too many bloom shots? maybe I should just stick with photos that show the planted scenes...)

Here's a "Bella Italia!" scene. :-)

Delphiniums around a big rectangular basin... such an elegant water feature! That huge urn of roses I posted much earlier is located at the far end of this feature.
