A canadian update

Canadian airspace has been closed all day since the terrible events of this morning. All incoming, outgoing, and local flights have been cancelled.
The only planes that are coming in are all the diverted in-the-air planes destined for the US. Just heard on the news they are being escorted by canadian fighter jets.
I have no words that could adequately express my deepest sorrow.

Yes! Thanks to Canada for giving a safe landing to those flights. The fighter escorts under the circumstances were a wise and necessary precaution. I am much relieved to know those planes all landed safely and without incident.

All flights from UK to USA and Canada have been cancelled till further notice, only military traffic will move across the Atlantic, only a couple of flights remain in the air now, they too will be going to Canada to land.

Heard 32 planes landed at Vancouver International Airport, with 6,000 passengers now safe.
