Advice needed on my moonvine seedlings

Carrollton, TX

I am starting plants from seeds this year for my first time. Almost all of my seeds have germinated and are doing great, but some of them have part of the seed shell stuck to them. They look like they are wearing tiny little hats. Am I supposed to remove them or wait?
I have attached a picture.

Thanks for any advice you can provide to this newbie!

"Little hats?".Never thought about it like that before.I usually let nature deal with it.Their"hats" will fall off eventually.Have I ever done it? Of course. Is it necessary? No.

Must be a new fashion for Easter. You can remove but I would leave them. I have had the same and sometimes the leaves inside aren't fully developed, the reason the hat is there. It will fall off on its own. Nature didn't have hands to remove the "hats" yet plants survived.

I didn't realize that they were just making a fashion statement! LOL!! Well I guess I will let them keep their hats, but if they are still wearing them after easter, then I will have to take action. :) I appreciate your reassurance, Christine. It is really exciting to grow plants from seeds.

Thanks a ton for all of your advice. I feel much better about leaving them alone and letting them do their own thing now. I guess your both right, blomma and edgeoftheworld, nature really does know best.
