Same here Zany, if they would take mine, I would give them every drop I have. But, if you are reading this, and you can; PLEASE DO! Our airlines may be grounded, but our Military will get it where it is needed.

If you can give blood, give. If you can give money to the red cross, give. But even if you can't give blood or money, don't feel like you can't help - give prayers and good thoughts. These are at least equally important!

Yes - giving blood is very important. I just heard that 200 pints from Lincoln Nebraska and Denver's blood donations were the first to be delivered to New York. They were sent via a military transport.
