I live in New Jersey and found this spider in my tolet. I look on the internet for photos of spiders and could not find any that look like it.
Help with identfying this spider.
I believe that you are unlikely to get a positive i.d. on this one; the image simply is too small and and not sharp enough to see defining details. That aside, it definitely is not anything that would be dangerous to your health.
Unfortunately, the diagnostic features necessary to identify this spider cannot be seen in the image. My best guess is that it might be an immature orb weaver of some kind; see http://tinyurl.com/dk6443 for an example. Again, it definitely is not any of the few species that are dangerous to humans.
