The flowers are similar to my strawberry tree/bush. Also of the Manzanita family. Those are gorgeous photos!
Do they bear fruit too?

No idea, guess it depends on what variety based on the PF images.

Dublin, CA(Zone 9a)

Yes, manzanita has fruits too--they're typically little tiny brownish berries. Not nearly as big and showy as the strawberry tree fruits.

The flower color and size of the plant should help you ID it. Try here: http://laspilitas.com/groups/manzanita_arctostaphylos/Manzanita.html

If you still can't find it, send a photo to Bert and he can probably tell you what it is.

Some tips for getting a fast and helpful response:

* For plant identification questions, please provide a few small pictures(a huge portfolio probably will not download) and tell us where you saw the plant(city/state/zipcode). Sorry but a green plant with kind of pink flower in California does not help.

That looks like a beaut, wonderearth. It's a new one to me and I'm going to try and get some.

It is very pretty. the pink flowers and the blue/green foliage are very complimentary.

Manzanitas are amazing plants, especially the ones with really red bark. Some are slow growing, but it's usually worth the wait. I really like the ones with the big leaves, too.
