Just Joined the NALS

Monroe City, MO(Zone 6a)

I recently joined the North American Lily Society and they sent me some free seeds...I have no idea what name goes with them....so I sent an email.

In the meantime.....can I grow these Lily seeds inside the same way I grow my Daylily seeds? I have lots and lots of Lilies..but I've never grown them from seed before...only daylilies. Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

Were there some numbers or some kind of "code" on the seed package?

Hi Leftwood~ Yes, there are some numbers on the small envelope.....
its says: 17-266

Thank you for your help!

They are seeds from the Asiatic lily named "Shirley", open pollinated.

Thank you!!!

Lilium 'Shirley' pic below. An asiatic hybrid.

But of course, who knows what the progeny will look like. Seedlings of hybrids will always be different than the parents, and Shirley is only the mom. We don't know who the dad is.
