Cmoxon waiting for up date

My dad is John Moore. Precedent setting case in 80's/90's. You may have read about him at some point and I keep in touch with one of his past lawyers Lori Anderson. She is a teacher writer and advisor. Nice lady. I have always wished that I could speak as well as my dad could and travel and talk about it like he did. I miss him dearly. In any case, I am glad you are in patent law all I know is that it is very confusing and a lot of rules!
I stick with my chickens :)

No WAY! THE John Moore!!!???!!! That's amazing! That's like a brush with patent fame! That was a very ugly case and a disturbing outcome in many ways. I wonder if it makes you dislike patents as a whole - I can see how it would.

The patents I work on are all plant/agriculture related, not medical or pharmaceutical, so I don't work on things like the patent for that cell line, but it is one of those patents that is a landmark case that most patent professionals know about (except maybe the engineers...)

Cool. I have to tell people at work that I've talked to John Moore's daughter and she has chickens! :-)
