Tried to do purple kiwi twice without a sprout, have 2 possible black Chilean guava out of about 50, and 5 dragonfruit out of about 75, and no hoconoiste yet. Tried to start them the same way I do tomatoes and peppers with about 95% plus germination. No luck whatsoever germinating these, though.

Also wondering what to do with tree seeds that might take several months to germ - never tried to grow trees from seed... purple star apple, bay laurel, sour orange, etc., etc... do I just use a bigger pot & keep watering it???

try a heat mat under seeds.i soak all my hard to germ seeds in Gibberellic Acid(GA3) for at least 24-36 hours then into pots and heat 80 degree.neem tree seeds took 3 months to germminate,soaked as above 21 out of 21 gern 30 days. good luck with your trees.
