Camera accessories

For those out there with Canon SLR digital cameras, I just got a cordless remote I am thrilled with.
It even comes with batteries. You just take the wrappers off the batteries and replace them, plug the receiving cord into the electronic shutter release plug, push the red button to turn it on, and you are ready to start shooting by remote. It was only $21, post paid, from Hong Kong, and only took 9 or 10 days to get here. For those of you in the southern end of the country, this has a lot of potential.
You can place it on a tripod outside, waiting for a bud to open, and take sequential pictures at will.
If you leave it there all day, it may drain the battery, because the receiving unit keeps looking for a new signal. Canon owners know that you push the exposure button half way down to make the camera do all the calculations and focus, and then all the way down to shoot. This match box size controler works the same way. Frank

Frank,

I wish that Sony cameras could be controlled this way, or at least my camera model made by Sony. What a great tool!

Joseph, what kind of D80 are you talking about. Several of the Biggies have D80s or 80Ds etc. Frank.

I was referring to the Nikon D80. I know what you mean, similar names lead to confusion.
