CLOSED: Need Identification of spider

Georgetown, TX

Can someone help me with this. I found this crawling across my porch so I took some shots of it before I stunned it. I need to know what it is?

Do you have any more photos of this one - especially taken from directly overhead? Although somewhat tarantula-like in appearance, it most likely is something different.

I suspect that this is a male trapdoor spider of some sort, although I have never sen anything exactly like it. See http://tinyurl.com/cxo58r for an image of one found in southern Idaho.

Poisonous?

With the exception of the small family Uloboridae (hackled orbweavers), all spiders are venomous. However, only a relatively few species are truly dangerous to humans. A bite from a spider such as yours, while likely painful, would not be dangerous.
