Garden Genie

Salem Cnty, NJ(Zone 7b)

LOL everyone. Oh, I forgot to add a fire pit.
We have a deck and I've thought about screening that, but the angle of the roof on it wouldn't work with the roof on the house. One of these days...

Pepperell, MA(Zone 6a)

Jan build a fire pit - we still live in the sticks though it is changing - our land slopes down to the back yard and "hides" the smoke. fire pit is 4' around and peeper season is coming - can't wait to have a couple cups with nature!!

South Hamilton, MA

an artificial snow melter might be nice. I am in a hurry for spring,

Salem Cnty, NJ(Zone 7b)

Do you know if there are firecodes? It probably depends on the area. DH has built a little one when he has a 'camp-out' with the grandies. He takes it apart though when finished.

Pepperell, MA(Zone 6a)

there are fire codes - we still live in the "woods" so i don't get hassled.

Southeast, MA(Zone 6b)

No More Rocks!

South Hamilton, MA

Rocks are good to hold things down like tarps. DD is on Lake Erie lake plaine & misses them.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

That's a good one, Pat. I have way too many too. Don't think I ever put a shovel in the ground without hitting them.

Calgary, AB(Zone 3a)

LOL DP. Easy one for me. Better back. I HATE having to take time outs for my back and having to ask my DH to move rocks and big containers.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Ha! Another one I can use. Maybe I should have granted five wishes.

Calgary, AB(Zone 3a)

Yes please. I would like 5 ^_^

Fairfield County, CT(Zone 6b)

I'm still waiting for tmy FIRST wish; he brick walkways. tap...tap...tap

Medway, MA(Zone 5b)

Ideally, I'd like super-soil. I just want to be able to grow anything anywhere. Of course, this super-soil has to be able to redirect tree roots in a single bound!

Calgary, AB(Zone 3a)

O I like that PrimRose Sue and I think the super-soil would be toxic to weeds and self-watering too.

Where is Victor today to grant these wishes?

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Just checking in now. All these wishes are very good. Could use just about all of them myself.

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

just saw this thread now... do i really whine that much????

South Hamilton, MA

We all do. Comes with gardening.

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

oh man... that's bad

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

I've been whining a lot about the !!^%$&%# deer lately.

South Hamilton, MA

And the deer say "who, us?"

Pittsford, NY(Zone 6a)

My sisters garden was mowed down, the deer took out 2/3 rds of her Scotch Broome and all the Wygia bushes are twiggs not to mention the sculpted evergreens that were wrapped with deer netting, they just ate where there was a bare spot.
She says she will have to spray all year round.

Southern, CT(Zone 6a)

Did you see the "How to attract deer & Gamebirds" article? Though you'd want to sharpen your skills Victor.

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

oh boy

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Are you kidding?! Someone wants to attract them?? I don't have the articles on my homepage.

Southern, CT(Zone 6a)

Here it is: http://davesgarden.com/guides/articles/view/2233/

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Thanks Dave. I planted plenty of castor bean just for them.

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

does that help?

It helps with moles

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

good to know

Pittsford, NY(Zone 6a)

My wish is for an impulse controle button.
Just updated my Rosydawn order.

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

I can add that one to my list as well

Pittsford, NY(Zone 6a)

I kep finding more places for gardens

Southern, CT(Zone 6a)

Has anyone tried eflowers?

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

I prefer real flowers, Dave. No the castor does not deter them - they're too smart to try it.

Fairfield County, CT(Zone 6b)

How are your archery skills, Victor? I hear that venison stew is a "comfort food" in more than one way.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

I have none, but all hunters are welcome.

Southern, CT(Zone 6a)

Victor, I developed eallergies/

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Try ant-e-histamines.

Southern, CT(Zone 6a)

We've taken this far e-nough!
