CLOSED: Found this spider in my pool - any idea what it is?

Leander, TX

I found this spider in my pool and fished it out. It was a little lethargic but now seems to be lively. Before I return it to the yard I'd like to know what it is.

the body seems to be about .75 to 1 inch long, the legs are about the same. it has two little "nubs" on the back end. the legs seem to be a LITTLE fuzzy but maybe not. its all brown and the "knees" on the front have a tan color to them. the back section of the body is plump and rounded but the front section of the body seems flatter and sturdier.

i think the little guy may have gotten blown into the pool from a tree that hangs over the pool because he would have had to trek quite a way over the pool deck.

thanks!

This appears to be a male trapdoor spider, resembling those in the genus Ummidia - see http://tinyurl.com/chbqtl
Males often wander quite far from their home burrow; they are harmless to humans.
