I have several bio domes and each one will have three or four different kinds of seeds growing in it (I know this is a no-no, but I don't have enough room otherwise). Here is my strategy. Once some have germinated I'll pop the sponges out and place them into another empty one. This way, they can be off the heat, out from under the dome and close to the lights. Does anyone see a problem with doing this? I haven't started yet, so it's just 'in my head' right now.
Bio Dome - can I move the sponges?
personally, I don't see a problem with doing that. Soon as they pop I always tak ethem out of whatevr cover I have them under so the humidity doesn't build and a chance for damping off disease starting.
