Home Made product to keep critters off of plants??

Does anyone have a home made spray to keep critters such as rabbits, squirrels, and even house cats off of plants. Something that is organic, and will not kill them, just keep them away. I use to have one, but lost the recipe, it was something that came from Jerry Baker....

All - Purpose Varmint Repellent

2 eggs
2 cloves of garlic
2 tbsp hot chili pepper
2 tbsp ammonia
2 cups of hot water

Mix all these ingrediants in a bucket,
let the mixture sit for 3-4 days, and then
paint it on fences, trellises, and wherever else unwanted
varmints are venturing....

Does that sound like it Deann?
I'm looking for the spray one now...

Squirrel Beater Tonic

2 tbsp. of cayenne pepper
2 tbsp. Tabasco sauce
2 tbsp. of chili powder
1 tbsp. of murphy's oil soap
1 qt. of warm water

Mix all ingredients together, pour into a
hand held sprayer, and liberally spray on
all your plants.

I have his books if this isn't the one recipe
you can call me and I can read them off to you
rather than typing them all here...let me know
