Has anyone an idea on this wasp? I thought perhaps it is a Black Flower Wasp. It is about 20mm long. Have to love those coloured eyes. All thoughts appreciated.
CLOSED: Blue and Yellow eyed Wasp
This is not a wasp, but a fly in the family Stratiomyidae (soldier flies); possibly Hermetia illucens, a species introduced from North America - see http://tinyurl.com/b9m9fz
