west Houston, TX(Zone 9a)

I think I need to go iron a shirt for tomorrow--I can't even seem to type or spell abbreviations tonight

tomorrow is another day...

(Becky) Colmesneil, TX(Zone 8b)

Debbie.... you expect me to know.. you're the real flower person..lol.. OK.. you are right..lol.. I looked it up. I traded these seeds with an Aussie, and he said they have a pink tubular flower. First time for me.. Sure.. you can have the Christmas cactus!!

Phyllis.. what do you mean.. 2nd thread.. am I lost again??..lol

Karen.. I still have that EE for you, and btw.. I never dug them last fall.. the others, and they are coming up, so as soon as they get a lil size I'll dig them for you!

Gotta go find this other thread..man..lol

(Phyllis) Flint,, TX(Zone 7b)

ROFLMAO honey your always lost aren't ya

on Feb 28th I started as second thread for trades since this one was getting rather long.

west Houston, TX(Zone 9a)

Becky--I'm not a flower person I'm just a bulb person (look at my membership page sometime--lol). Notice that 3/4 of my trade list is bulbs--lol

not selective reading at all Phyllis--I just always rebel against authority, rules, and policing
=)

(Becky) Colmesneil, TX(Zone 8b)

Debbie.. don't confuse me.. bulbs are still flowers..LOL.. go iron that shirt.. I am red faced enough..lol.. TG I can take it!

I'm going to look right now!!

(Phyllis) Flint,, TX(Zone 7b)

well you go girl then as I am none of the 3 as far as anyone of great importance I just know that those on dial up end up with trouble loading when the lists get too long LOL ...I bet we would have a blast if we worked together especially where I work ...would send 3 gals spinning for sure

west Houston, TX(Zone 9a)

Nope Phyllis--you would just send the 3 girls to me (I'm a part time floating Assistant Principal in the local High schools)--lol

Lufkin, TX(Zone 8b)

becky,
i thought i gave you some dls at the RU! i know i gave some out to several folks. but, dont worry, i will bring more! :)

tracie

Jacksonville, TX(Zone 8a)

I tried to up date my list with names of the folks getting things. I know I did not get all and forgot some so just Dmail me or post and I will get you down. I will wait on the EE's and hibiscus to see what come up and which cuttings take.
DD

(Maggi) Big Sandy, TX(Zone 8a)

DD - I may need another Lion's Tail. I have some seed but don't want to count on that. I haven't seen any sprouts yet from the one we got from you last year. I like that plant, it is so cool looking.

I also need to try the Peacock Moss. I will study up on what it needs and decide where it might do best here.

I may have a few roses ready to go by RU: Veilchenblau, Butterfly, Lady Banks yellow and possibly one or two of my grandma's Alaska rose. The Alaska rose does surprisingly well here :~) The Veilchenblau is a climber/rambler that does well in shade. It only blooms once per season here (I never do try cutting it back) but it is a neat rose.

west Houston, TX(Zone 9a)

DD--my 2 baby pine tree seedlings
=)

Jacksonville, TX(Zone 8a)

Maggie got you down on the things you wanted. Hope you and Ken will also plan on dropping by. That way you can get whatever you see you want. You would not take anything last trip.
dmj- gotcha on the pines 2.

Have not seen the Lion's tail appear yet here either but they reseed so freely, I know I will have plenty.

Josephine, Arlington, TX(Zone 8a)

west Houston, TX(Zone 9a)

bump--I need to see this one for access to my trade list

Humble, TX

Thanks for the reminder that I should be updating my trade list. Let me know if I missed anything for anyone.

(Maggi) Big Sandy, TX(Zone 8a)

dmj1218:

I have some things on your list of wants - especially the wild columbine, I have a few of them that are new this year (seedlings) - and a Southern Belle blueberry (or 2). I also should have a good start of 'Veilchenblau' a rambling/climbing rose that likes shade and doesn't take over like 'Butterfly' or the Lady Banks rose. I can try to root cuttings of 'Outta the Blue' too. It's a neat rose, fairly disease free, a little black spot now and then. here's a link to a small pic of it.

http://www.vonrussellfarm.com/outtatheblue.jpg

I am interested in the Clivia seedlings, if you have them available still.

west Houston, TX(Zone 9a)

I would like the blueberry (1)--and some Columbine. I'll also take the Veilchenblau rose. Is there anything else you want?
Debbie

(Maggi) Big Sandy, TX(Zone 8a)

dmj1218

I am torn between the Stachys coccinea 'Hot Spot Coral'
and the Salvia 'Mystic Spires' LOL!

My Salvias have all done well here in our amended clay soil, but I am not sure the Stachys would fare as well. I have an area where Verbascum thapsus seems to thrive, I get new seedlings from it every year, do you think the Stachys might do well in the same area? Our soil is well-amended with compost.

On the other hand I saw the pic of the 'Mystic Spires' and I love that color too!

west Houston, TX(Zone 9a)

since you saw the picture of the mystic spires you must know my name is Debbie.

Why wouldn't the Stachys coccinea do well for you? I have very rich soil..Do you want both?

(Maggi) Big Sandy, TX(Zone 8a)

OK Debbie, I will ask for both and find a few other things around here to tempt you with :~)

west Houston, TX(Zone 9a)

you have both! I've probably hogged enough of yours--lol--I'll post yours tomorrow night, kinda busy here trying to make some $$
=)

(Maggi) Big Sandy, TX(Zone 8a)

Aren't we all trying to make $ !!

Ken is finally working again - he has jobs lined up for the first time in months.

I am getting Maggi's Garden Magic ready for the post-Easter planting rush here in this area. It's starting to look good.

(Karen) Frankston, TX(Zone 8a)
