How long from taking stem cuttings to becoming a mature flowering plant for mums and asters?

I take mum cuttings in the spring as soon as they are 4 to five inches tall. The cuttings bloom in the fall.

Hi: You can also force them to bloom when you want them to. Its a day length thing. so many hours of daylight, then so many hours of dark. Its kind of kool but a lot of keeping up with.

We just take cuttings and stick them in the ground outside and they always root. It's one of the easiest to propagate plants in my opinion.
