Hops

Has anybody here in So Cal ever been successful growing Hops (Humulus Lupulus)? I know they would do better in a colder zone, but I am so in love with the "aurea" variety!

....Anyone? Yep, I guess Hops is not an option for californians, lol....

I tried one once a few years ago and it didn't do a thing.

I have an akebia quinata that isn't doing anything either...so long, "vigorous climber"!
