LOL, Doris!

You've got that right, Doris! With all our rain, the weeds are taking over and I still have iris and daylilies to divide. No laying around for me!

Just got home and checked my brugs...only have 3 that survived my absence. Changed the water... ((it was rotten!! hubby forgot to check and freshen the water)).

I'm gonna go ahead and pot up the survivors this weekend..any helpful info. would be great!!!

How do you move them in the winter,do you actualy put the whole plant in the warm or do you just take cuttings. I only have one big tall one and she has dropped all her buds but two, and they were the two I showed that were unusual, I was so anxiouse to see the flowers it is Golden Lady X Hawwian Double White I may just take cuttings of her this year.

Hi Doris!

I just take cuttings in the fall and start over. I don't have the room indoors for the enormous plants. One exception will be this plant - if I can, I'll bring it in (and cut it back), since it grows fairly slow. I'll put it in a large plastic pot so it's not quite so heavy.

Of course, the two plants you sent me (and the cuttings) will fit nicely in my basement 'garden' for the winter.

This is gorgeous! I don't know the variety name - is it fragrant? I'd like a cutting if you still have one available - I'll send a D-mail with my address.

Dirtygirl,
It is impossible to ID a Brug using only photos. There are many look alikes under several names and that look like your Brug. If your Brug didn't come with a name it is better she remains unknown. If you have to have a name for her, you can call her a NOID (No ID). Giving her a cultivar name risks mis-identihying her and adding to the confusion. Enjoy her beauty and for what she is — an un-named Brug, a NOID.

Brandon, FL(Zone 9b)

Oh, I do enjoy the Brug... it gets taller and taller every year... I bought it about 3 years ago as a lil short dumpy thing that looked like it was 24 hours from being in the dumpster at Lowes ((got it dirt cheap... as close to free as you can get)). so if anyone knows the types that Lowes might carry, we can go from there *LOL*

I believe Lowe's just uses color names — Pink Brugmansia, Yellow Brugmansia, etc. So you have a Pink NOID. LOL
