ladyg- do you itemize medical mileage for tax? not if I'm getting too personal here. my mom has wondered if she should add up all the co pays and patient pay-amounts she accumulates. Last time we eyeballed it I don't think it was enough.
Best of luck wtih your test results.! hug((you))
Got snow???
Sally, I don't know if I'll have enough medical expenses to claim enough to help with taxes, but I'm giving it a try this year. Mileage, dental, vision, medical-co-payments and Medical Insurance payments, and prescription drugs that you pay out of your own pocket. All of that goes into the mix. Hope this helps.
I pulled out my pocket calender from 08 which has all my medical appts in it and went to google and mapped out the distance, put in her address and the address where her appts were and it will tell you the mileage. Remember to double it for a round trip.

Lady, Hope you you do well and get good results, as always you are in my thoughts and prayers.
Sally, Lady is exactly right about the medical expenses. Add them all up.
Ric and I were out today lots of places to go and things to do. I took the camera and got a few pictures from one of my favorite local drives. This is only a few miles from the house but it's not on our travel paths, so every once in a while I drive down there for a treat. The water was too frozen to get the pics I was hoping too. But these are pretty any way. I'll start with this one this is a stream you can't see any of the water it's all frozen over. Close to the bridge where I stand you can just see a small bit of it. (not in pic).
Holly, Thank you for the well wishes, I can't have to many of those LOL.
I enjoyed looking at your pictures, do you go looking for animal tracks in the snow?
I always enjoy looking at the snow covered sides of the roads (when someone else is driving of course) you can pick out where the deer have their usual road crossings.
Bec_No_Va, did you have a chance to see Flowerjen's thread on the squirrel sleeping on her deck? I tried to find it, but couldn't. Maybe she'll post a link to it. I was browsing the NE Forum and she has another hilarious squirrel thread there, although she probably doesn't find it funny:

Holly, your photos are so beautiful. Oh the joys of retirement, to have time to stop and smell the snow and go sightseeing all along the byways!!
Lady, it's so nice that you had the day off, hope you made the most of it. Sending good thoughts your way.
It was a great day. Went up to Parents house, my daughter Jen was there with little Lucas. I visited while Ric went to a Dr. appt. then we had lunch. Soup that Ric made yesterday and then Jen went to her hair appt and left little Lucas with us. My son Jamie showed up with his wife he is on the snow crew and worked all night so he was off today and they were running a few errands in the area. Then Ric and I left to go to a meeting and headed home. On the way home we went down the lane to get the pictures. My parents had a full house today and really loved it. I'm just sitting here doing a little cross stitch. I got new glasses last week and can see well enough to do the work again. LOL
I meant to say that that thread in my link actually is hilarious with several squirrel and critters stories. If you have time, read the whole thread.
Here's the link to the pics of the squirrel sleeping...I am looking for another funny post I did awhile back.
Forgot to say the pics are about in the middle of the thread
Jen, the link is not in your post.

OMG, That thread is hysterical. esp. the venison comments. Loved it didn't have time yet to follow the youtube links. Will go back tomorrow for more laughs.
Jen, no link :(
The link in post 6069357 isn't working??
Yes, I posted that when you posted the link - the baby squirrel was sooo cute....:)
Both threads are funny. Sleeping squirrel is about halfway down. He is so cute! Jen, maybe you can do something with that for next Photo contest.
Yes the sleeping squirrel is unforgettable

OMG how utterly adorable is that?!?!?
Great picture! Almost makes you want to pet them.
GREAT photos all - I've been on the run dealing with my aging/ailing Mom in Richmond, so am way behind in posting, and will do so specifically shortly, but!
Wanted to share this information for all of you who've posted such great squirrel photos:

Well, the link works for me, but it looks different than the usual "hyperlink" thing. Hope it works for others...
Anyway, you guys should enter this contest with your great squirrely pix!
Barb
It works thanks.
Jen---DO IT!!!
ok, I will!
Ya all may as well not send in any squirrel pix. Mine is in and going to win. LOL
Thanks for calling our attention to the contest.
Cocky are we? LOLOL Rrrr-rrr-rrrrrrrrrrrrr!
Well I can not help it if my sqirrels are cuter than most others.
That's true. The squirrel cuteness level is completely out of your control.
I'm SO glad you guys are entering - it was just a coincidence that I got that newsletter from Duncraft after seeing all the cute squirrel photos y'all had posted here. Good luck! (NOT taking sides!) LOL
This is true but I have found the Shenandoah Valley squirrels bark with a Southern accent.
I doubt the Northern judges would understand them.
Good grief..........we are still under six inches of snow and you have green showing. That's not fair. .....And they suggest we may get even more this week.
I better not tell you it was 64 degrees here today then!
We're supposed to get more snow by Tuesday though. :o(
Yeah, our puny 2-3 inches of snow/ice from last Tuesday has FINALLY mostly melted away after the heat wave today. You can tell exactly where the sun hit the ground...
Hope you don't get hammered again, docgipe.
You're safe from any competition from Shenandoah Valley squirrels. We have the ugliest squirrels you've ever seen. Not to mention their accent. LOL Actually, this part of the valley was settled by the same Germans who settled in Pennsylvania so the accent is pretty darned different, squirrel or human.
My last two years of high school education was Jr. ROTC school Massanutten Military Academy in Woodstock, Va. For two years I got to snoop about the Shenandoah Valley and the sites between there and Greencastle, Pennsylvania. We still love the valley and return there at least once a year for homecoming. Then we found a Virginia Beach business partner and trained several doll doctors there unlike my retired self have open doll hospitals. In the process we have had a pretty good introduction to Virginia. The best raw peanut raisen pie in the world is made by a family resturant in Surry not to mention the home of Bowman Apple Products and the famous Virginia country ham. We have done your caves and traveled the Skyline Drive. Occasionally we still go hunting antiques throughout the state and visit your museums. My claim to fame is that I lived to carry a tuba for two years in the Winchester Apple Blossom Parade.
