Karen, yes that's true...just use good judgment.
Congratulations Boca Bob To Your Brand New Website
Terry -- I recieved your message Loud and Clear on my d-mail! Only wish you would have contacted me personally before making your conclusion? To you and anyone else let it be known now that I am not affiliated with Boca Bob except as a friend as I am with all of you here and in no way recieve any "unethical kickbacks" as could have been implied by your wording. I have helped to promote Earthbox, Carolyn Males book, garden aids for the disabled, Lap-Band surgery and many, many, more aids by company names. I feel that I have done far more than my share of helping and advising others through the goodness of my heart and at my own personal expense because I purchased the products first!
Container Gardeners are a different breed from dirt farmers. We do not use the soil available on our property for some reason or another and when one finds a dynamic product that performs almost miraculously we certainly will pass it on to our fellow container gardeners. It just happened to be discovered by a fellow DGer. I advised the same with Dr Carolyn Males book, who I ADMIRE AND RESPECT TREMENDOUSLY and am responsible for many sales of her book as it is perfect for a new grower even if they don't grow tomatos and just want to grow any plant from seed.
I believe at this time I have the most experience with container mix as my DG friends, which I care for very much and would never attempt to profit on their trust, although I certainly could use the money because of my health problems, however as stated when something exceptional comes along I know they want to know ASAP and that has been my purpose as a DGer for the years involved. I have recommended Jungle Growth as a container mix for all containers especially EBs as it did the job but as the world turns, new products are always popping up and thus came "coco coir" and coincidently it was Bob's discovery. No one ever said a word about or even hinted at personal gain for this the JG product and Lord knows I sure plugged this company which could care less about me as so with the JG people but I put in a good word about Bob and his coir products which I am now using and will use in all my 20 EBs and forty plus containers dumping the JG. Very many of us feel that his product are the best ever and apologize if I offended anyone or unintentionally broke any of DG's rules as I felt we were all Family and should share the good as well as the bad and feel sorry for those unethical individuals that think my "plugging" his product for $$$$. I will do my best in the future to contain my excitement for exceptional products and try not to plug the manufacturer!
I removed my last statement at the request of my fellow DG'ers to whom I say "Thank You For Your Trust In Me!" It is greatly appreciated.

TPlant: You, Boca Bob and many others have helped me so much with your advice and I know I don't stand alone on that statement. I just want you and everyone here to realize that I do appreciate everyone's advice and it has helped me tremendously. As everyone knows this last Spring/Summer was my first attempt at gardening anything and I'm really enjoying gardening as a hobby now. So; I just want everyone to know how much I have appreciated everyone's patience, guidance and good advice.

right about now I'm thinking that, if someone could figure out how to dehydrate banana peels and grind them up into a powder, we could sprinkle that in with Bob's coco coir and grow pina coladas....actually, I could use a bottomless a frozen marguerita!
Long live the coir!
Amen, there Gymgirl
Gymgirl! Never, ever lose your sense of humor. LOL But hey, maybe your on to something there? We'll call it "Coir Ban"....If you can't grow in it you can eat it as a cereal. One thing for sure you'll be getting plenty of fiber!!
Are you listening BocaBob? LOL
I tried some with milk the other day, LOL, delish.
