I think Elaine is the talented one who made those.
Bullwinkle and the boys are on the Rock!
Hi Todd:
So glad the boys and I are able to learn something about your part of the country and your work.
What great pictures! Do you, every day, give thanks for being able to work with beautiful living things, instead of in an office? I sure would . . .
I wish we could see more of your environs with the boys in the summer time. But please, more pics of plants, so we can remember what it is we go through this winter for.
thanks,
~marilyn
They sure are enjoying themselves..you'll miss them when they travel to yet another fun destination...
Just curious .. is Todd the last stop .. I can never remember .. I kinda think there is ONE stop left ?
Every so often I wonder if the boys will 'winter over' at the last host. And then ?? Will they come back across the country starting say in May ?
Just thinkin out loud .. better than talking in my sleep LoL !!!!

I believe there is one more Nfld stop. Then, I guess the lads 'rest' while we start making the list for their return trip. Does Glenda want to organize that or would you like someone else to take organizing the return list? I, myself, would like to see the lads on their way by mid-May so that they get across the continent before the snow flies again.
Ann
I'm off to Equador in mid-April...maybe Bullwinkle will join me!
Woo Hoo! What a wonderful opportunity for Bullwinkle! And for us too as we follow along on the trip! ^_^

Certainly should make for a new adventure! Meanwhile, the boys will relax in Newfoundland until the spring then start their travels back west across the Country.
That sounds great Todd! I'm sure the boys will love being "On the Rock" until spring. And Bullwinkle will have a great time with you in Ecuador! And of course, we will expect lots of pictures.
I guess we will need to have input from everyone as to how we want to further proceed with the boys. I know lots of you would like to have them in the spring/summer, so I am suspecting we should try and set up a new schedule, although certainly no rush.
Ideas??

Sounds good, Glenda. I'd like to get in on the one coming back if I can. ^_^
Don, how long are you down south for???
Count me in Glenda ^_^
It was kinda 'dreary' weather in Thunder Bay when the Boyz came through .. a visit in May or June would be MOST excellent !!
I am at the same address, and, if I can help in any way please do not hesitate to ask me.
I tend to think .. going from East to west starting in May or June is going to work out VERY well ..

We'll be home again next Month, Glenda.
Todd do you need us to send you any $$ for the flight or accommodation?
Does he need shots or a special outfit?
I look forward to the photos and stories.
Ann
Wow! I admiring the beautiful geranium along with the boys! What a great shot of Bullwinkle with the Begonia. ^_^
ooooh green things I can almost smell the soil in these photos!
Thanks Todd!
Ann
Equador! Yay! That's one lucky moose.
Sandy
MY GOSH Todd .. a quick word of warning re Bullwinkle .. if you go near the Galapagos Islands .. WATCH HIM very carefully !! He'll be in the water lickety split !!
Enjoy the culture and the people .. the music and the art .. and .. if Bullwinkle has to stay in the suitcase every so often just to give you some space .. I'm sure he'll be forgiving ^_^
~M~
Equador...very cool!
Do you think Todd would notice if I dressed like a moose and hid in his luggage?
LOL @ threegardeners!
Are you going orchid hunting in Ecuador Todd??
What an opportunity. and remember that Sandy and I were told by someone operating a market stall here in Ottawa that the farther gnomes travel the luckier they get. But are you taking JUST Bullwinkle? I guess you might have to in order to keep him out of trouble. I suppose the other lads will behave themselves. But Marilynne is right. You really will have to watch him around the water.
The Ecuador trip (and a side trip to the Galapagos) is a birding holiday. Hopefully the hardy eagles will not mistake Bullwinkle for a monkey and carry him off!
Joanne, one in every four plants in Ecuador is an orchid, so I expect I might see one or two! Alas, it is illegal to bring any plants into Canada without a permit.
Such a shame!
Wow! A possible trip to Ecuador for Bullwinkle.
Just so you are prepared - I know for a fact that Bullwinkle does not have a passport.
Be really careful Todd. Do you have any idea what the penalty is for smuggling a moose into Ecuador? Not to mention the fact that poor Bullwinkle will probably be the main course on someone's dinner table.
I am going to keep the moose smuggling on the down/low but just be careful not to get caught. I don't even want to think about what might happen to both of you.
Happy Gardening
Elaine and Otis
Still wonder what the other lads will think if only Bullwinkle gets to go.
The gnomes will be given the important job of caring for my orchids....they were willing to make the sacrifice....such loyalty!
They will probably breathe a sigh of relief !!!! I tend to think Bullwinkle MAY be a bit of a narcisist .... the other 2 Gnomes may welcome a break from his antics ESPECIALLY with Todd going to the Galapagos .. heaven only knows with all that beautiful water WHAT might happen to Mr Moose .. a Moose can float in the Pacific Ocean LoL
~M~
I think caring for your orchids should keep them happy.
Todd, I think that giving the gnomes the task of orchid caretaking is wise. They really do prefer being busy, and should adapt to responsibility well. A busy gnome is a happy gnome! Your orchids will be in very good hands.
Think of the stories they will have to share with each other!
I'm sure that the gnomes will do a great job looking after your orchids and enjoy a bit of a break from that adventurous moose.
I'd hide the phones while you are gone though. They logged in a whole bunch of long distance calls when they stayed with me. At least I think it was them. It happened while I thought they were sleeping. They have made many friends across the country as they traveled from home to home. Bullwinkle doesn't have fingers so I assumed it was the gnomes. You have to watch the quiet ones you know.
Hope you continue having fun with the lads.
Elaine and Otis
And what happened to the gnomes? Did they ever go on the trip with you Todd? Or did they get sent on to the last person on the list and fall off the rock on the way?
Holy cow, can you believe it's spring time already and time for the boys to come out of hibernation?? LOL.
Fingers crossed NO Pirate Ships are invovled with their silence LoL ..
