Oooh! Do you suppose it is an I. nil that has yellow blooms??? Gosh would I love to get my hands on seeds for such a vine! :-)
dany - Do you have the link that shows the packet...if we could see a better view of the packet that would enable someone to actually read the characters printed on the packet,it would help to determine the company name and perhaps one of our Japanese contacts would then be able to obtain it for us...
Thanks (!)
TTY,...
Ron
I'm going to venture that the packet that looks yellowish on that webpage is actually a white cultivar similar to "Hama no Yuki" and that the seeming yellow coloration is an electronic distortional artifact of some type...
I have seed packets from that company and if my scanner was working I would post the rear of the packet, but there is a UPC on my packet of Dainagon 4 958382 0211488...the last 3 numbers indicate the exact cultivar and the numbers in the beginning include the company if someone wants to do a UPC lookup on it...

Ron,
Do you know the name of this compagny ( yellow bloom )?
I want to ask seeds from the University of Kyushu.
Every spring , particular people can ask for some seeds.
They say that people who are in the very beginning of MG growing must buy seeds from the compagnies - Sakata, Takii and NARA Farm , do you know the link of the Nara Farm ?
Common people can ask seeds of the cultivars with a reference number QX....
Do you know where I can find this list ?
Have you an idea of wich cutivars are " key " or " good patrimony " ?
I don't exactly which type of mutation I can get but I thing of simple bloom with a broken colour ( transposon gene ) I think this mutation is good for my level .

Dany
Dany - Thanks for your questions...
I had mentioned above that although I d9o have a seed packet from the company that you think has a yellow MG,until I get a new computer system up and running,I can't provide a scan of the packet...the characters are all in Kanji...no Romaji,so I can't type the letters into a translator...
I'm not aware of NARA farms, although many companies that contain the description of nursery and farm most often sell plants and not seeds...
The list of available strains is linked to on the Kyushu site and I suggest that people try to obtain strains having high fertility, otherwise you might get very few or no seeds from the plants that you grow...
