I think it smells more like raspberries wrapped in a peony but it is a stinker for sure.

this is my favorite peony it smells wonderfull and has over 40 blooms every spring
That's a pretty one Mona. I like the single blossoms, they are so elegant. Most of mine are pass-alongs, deep pink double old time peonies. The flowers are not quite as large as the one I posted earlier but they stand up tall without any support. The other one needs a hoop the flowers are so heavy.
that is why I like the one I posted only one year I had to tie it with four pole because we had a bad wind storm and the next morning it was on the ground so I had to pick it up
one year out of 10 not bad planted some last year hoping to see them bloom this year I also have to move two from the past owner lol she planted them in the shade.

sherrie for you i'm hoping for an early spring and praying your DH gets back to work - pretty sure i'm looking at a layoff real soon - only happened once before and lasted a couple months - still was not fun

Bill i'm sorry to hear that, this economy sucks. DD just found out she has to take a 10% cut in pay, all employees do to keep the company afloat.

well tonight I am putting together my portable green house, I have four flats in the garage cooling and they have to come in by the end of the weekend and two more flats in the family room on the safe table its time lol since I have to start two more this coming week
I am getting going slowly will have to speed up at the end of march lol

Celeste - wife works so we'll be ok - its the ex who will be a problem lol (don't tell) - and there will be a couple months severance - so i am trying to time a double dip - although this economy is messing with my master plan - at least i knew enough to ask for those gift certificates for x-mass for trees :)
on another note i just noticed the high country garden hit my credit card for plants due to be sent in May, that annoys me.
