making seed tapes with toilet paper
Roll out toilet paper, place seeds(spacing) according to package directions. Fold over the tp to cover seeds. Spray with water(wet but not soggy) let the tape thoroughly dry...roll up and store until planting. The seeds will stick too the tp and not move.
Last year I did this with carrot seeds, did not have too thin and they were huge!!
This year I will try lettuce, spinach...the list could go on..
I'm going to try this. It makes it a whole lot easier.
Sounds interesting. I am going to try this too.
Wendy loo when going through some magazines this morning a sheet fell out and it was how to make 'seed roll tape'..when I get home from work I'll post...probably much like yours..
thanx, looking forward it!! Wanda (born and raised in Regina lol!)
Have the sheet in hand, much to type so will keep it till I get to the office...
Think you've given me a 'to do' on my list of spring preparation...still several months to be even thinking of gardening but I am..this would make me feel productive and who knows, just might turn out the thing to do each and every year with seeds galore...
Wanted to add....have taken the lint tray fluff from dryer opened it up just slightly and have added seeds..recycling right..
