Didn't get nearly as many pics as would have like but kept forgetting camera in car.

Nursery Hunting trip to the valley in Texas
Great pictures Gail! Looks like you had a wonderful time.
WOW!!
It is probably a good thing we all don't live close together or we would do nothing but hit the highways looking for more plants (that we don't need) (^_^)
Thanks for the picture show, Gail. It's a very good thing that I don't live any where near that nursery. I would be broke, and my DH would divorce me after 53 yrs.
I think that little plant in the 4" pot is heurnia, caralluma or staplia family.
They are all so similiar, it's hard to tell which one. It's a cutie!
You know a lot more than I do, imadigger!
Beautiful pictures Gail! I think your small plant is a Stapelia (sp?),known as carrion flower Actually on second thought I believe it's a Huernia. They are both in the Stapeliad family.

I have a heurnia, staplia and caralluma that I received in trades. If I ever lost the tags, i wouldn't know which was which. They are very similiar looking. LOL
Beautiful pics, Gail. The variegated Hoya Kerri is gorgeous. That's one I've tried to grow several times and always managed to lose.
Wow, Gail ... another wonderful trip to a nursery?! Oh, how I envy that!
The picture you posted here: http://davesgarden.com/community/forums/fp.php?pid=6022926 is a Cordyline (Hawaiian Ti) but I don't know which variety. It looks very similar to one I have but I don't have a clue of a cultivar.
The picture you posted here: http://davesgarden.com/community/forums/fp.php?pid=6022929 is a Stapelia of some sort, commonly know by some as Starfish Plant.
This BEAUTY: http://davesgarden.com/community/forums/fp.php?pid=6022936 looks like a Ginger of some sort but I'm not sure. The leaf shape and growth habit look so familiar but I just can't put a name to it. Never seen one quite so beautiful!
This one: http://davesgarden.com/community/forums/fp.php?pid=6022942 does look like a Cordyline of some sort too.
And, I think this one: http://davesgarden.com/community/forums/fp.php?pid=6022944 is a type of Ivy Leaf Geranium: http://davesgarden.com/guides/pf/go/1418/
I KNOW I would be beyond broke if I had nice nurseries like that near me! My DH of 40 years would probably have me committed ... hmm ... wouldn't be so bad if maybe I could be committed to a greenhouse somewhere? ^_^
We had some frost here a couple of nights ago ... the top of my huge Schefflera in the backyard got hit and my Banana tree looks awful but they will come back in spring. Unfortunately we are preparing for a freeze, tomorrow night is predicted to be 28 degrees and Wednesday night 27! They said on the news our record low for this date was back in 1985 when our low was 15! I remember that vividly ... everything was frozen! We had 6' tall Viburnum hedges around our entire backyard that were frozen to the ground and a few came back but most were goners.
Stay warm everyone!
You and your friend must have had a blast going to those exceptionally nice nurseries. Beautiful generous size plants and reasonable prices. Doesn't get better than that.
Thanks for all the research and links, Lin!
You are welcome GoldLeaf! Oh, Gail, I forgot to say - I know nothing about Desert Cacti ... I had a collection many years ago but don't like thorny plants anymore and I don't have a clue as to what the names of any of them are, LOL.
