I've observed lotus has a tendency to multiply pretty rapidly. I would start the seed(s) in smaller pot, then gradually upgrade to larger, individual pot. It's quite a pain to devide them tuber segments when they become crowded.
Breeding lotus have you done it?
do they grow better if they are crowded in a smal pot? I don't mind if they fill these two. I just have to find seeds first. What would be best for this size? I know I don't need giant ones.
Well, hmmm I had something all typed up and the computer got hiccups and I lost it.
I got my start from someone who got his start from Waters Edge in Kanas. Last time I talked to them they were not doing mail order, but with things they way they are maybe that has changed? You can google them and find out.
I've seen bowl lotus come up on Ebay, but I've never purchased any through Ebay.
You might want to call Texas Water Lilies and tell him you would be interested in purchasing some in the future when they become available.
