DG on Facebook

Your e-mail address is not given out to people on Facebook; the e-mails with status updates and notifications all come from Facebook, not individuals.

Howie and I have our e-mail associated with our websites. We switched the hosting of our e-mail over to Google last year, so now we get all the benefits of Gmail's interface and Google's great spam filtering, but we still have our own domains' e-mail addresses. I do have one other e-mail account I use for when I sign up for something I'm unsure about, but I use my normal domain e-mail address for the other 95% of stuff I do online.

If you do join the group, make a post on the wall giving your DG username so we can all figure out who's who. :)

Outofmygourd, I live in the southern part now. Yorktown and Magnolia. I used to live off of Heil and Goldenwest.
I love the weather here in HB, but I'm not a hugh Beach go'er.

Just a reminder...when you join the DG group on FB, make sure you go to the discussion board and tell us your DG name...clears up the confusion (at least MY confusion!) = D

Yes. And actually there are two places you can do that - on the opening page (scroll down) or on the Just Joined thread on the Discussion Board.

I just use my regular email. I really don't get that many FB emails.

I tried to set up a new addy, but I failed. I just can't get it to work. I already get alot of junk on mine, wish I could change it but I have to many people out there that I don't want to lose touch with. Still working on it. may use my own.

Spent 3 hours on the phone with help desk, after I mess up all is well now, I hope. going to join, and anyone that knows my kittys will know who I am. Think reading kitty.

I found out about this first through a DG friend that I already connected with on facebook. I keep my information private, though.......but welcome connecting with other members and making more friends. Facebook has been so far a lot of fun!

Joan...it's really easy. Just click on the group link on your profile. Then under the "Discussion Board" header about halfway down the page is a topic thread titled "What's Your DG Name?" Under that there is a box that says "write something." That's where you type your info. Very similar to here, just a lot more boxes to navigate. It is the same on both the official DG page and the unofficial one created because we didn't know there was an official one.

For those of you who knew Firevicar when he was on DG (before paid subscriptions), he's on Facebook now. Jim Eichner. I'm sure he'll be part of the Dave's Garden Group by now!!
