When to sow advice, keeping a spreadsheet!

Simpsonville, SC(Zone 7b)

We're starting a spreadsheet, with advice on when to sow each type of seed (compiled from websites and fellow DGers), in 'weeks before last frost date' format so that it can be interpreted for each area.

It's coming along, but we're hoping everyone might add their own info (weeks, and add seeds that aren't listed too!) in posts here, and I'll update the spreadsheet accordingly.

Here's the spreadsheet, I'll check back regularly to update it with information from posts. Suggestions welcome :)

feel free to browse through my journal.... there are a bunch of seeds listed by week before frost

some of the petunias, impatiens & coleus are listed in a longer category... they always seem to take longer for me

Where can I find out when the last frost date is for my specific area? Last year my figs had sprouted several inches, with baby figs, when it froze (28 deg). I can cover them but seeds are harder.

thanks,
Paul

This list looks pretty comprehensive. The last frost dates for spring are a few pages down.

Thank you,
It told me Apr 5th and that seems early- maybe if I plant seeds then. I very much enjoyed the site and following one link after another from the site. Again, thank you.
