I got my own pink tool kit from Hubby for Xmas. Now if anyone takes my tools I will know. And any man will not touch a pink tool, at lest I hope. LOL

lol, love the pink tools! My DH keeps threatening to get me some...but I told him to 'go ahead' as long as they are pink power tools and have the same power his tools do !! LOL! ^_^

AnjL, I hope you are doing better now. You've been through quite an ordeal with the surgeries.

Holly, All your babies are doing fine, I have them in the house afraid to dump them in the cold now. Lost some in the GH so didn't want to but them out there.

I love your barn and tea house. Wish my dad was closer, could use some help in the outbuilding department. Can't wait to see the next one, I might save your photo to show DH as an idea for 'his' barn as I'd love to get his tools and equipment out of our 'barn' so the horses can move in. The next few structures are ones that my dad designed and built on our farm. My parents lived there for 27 years. They sold it three years ago and now it is owned by a wonderful family who have made it into a petting farm. This is the well house.

The covered bridge over the creek.

The chicken coop and goat house.

My playhouse, dad built it when I was four, that was 30 years ago now! It used to have a lower and upper deck on it as well. Over the years it became my brothers fort and then my mom's garden shed.

And my dad's crowning glory and true passion, his barn.

WOW!!! Well, when DH and I get to move up your way, we will need a barn, a greenhouse and a woodworking shop...oh and a pump house and a covered bridge (I'll make a pond! lol!) and a chicken coop and some doggie houses ^_^ I will be calling your dad! lol!

I neeeeeeeeeeeeeed a covered bridge. Wow. Gary's a building fiend. Do we need to take a field trip to the farm? Yes, please.

oooh, wait for me! I'll be visiting again this summer!

I wish that I had inherited his incredible gift of just seeing a structure in his head and then having the education and know how to make it happen. This is my sad attempt at a temporary chicken coop. I needed my greenhouse back to start seeds in so yesterday I threw this together. It's ugly but it works. I can't wait until my parents get back from Maui on Thursday. #1 I miss them and #2 dad can start pulling his ideas together for a coop (then I can go and buy the materials.) Hopefully my chickies will have a nice coop by spring!

Hey, it works. Every idea has to start somewhere. I especially like your use of recycled materials. That's the coolest part. Just like a farm girl.

Whatever I can find, I will make it work! I have been watching craigslist for another cyclone fence dog kennel. That's what the ducks are in.

Using what ever is at hand and then to make it work. Hats off to you.

Rachel, the bridge is ridiculously adorable, as is your play house. Oh, and the coop/barn as well. I believe your father has a bit of the crafty gnome in him.

Alot of gnome, he's a big animal lover too! Must be where I get my gnome genes!

'That is to good' And on and on. I guess he just does not think he is good enough as a carpenter to try. Maybe if I can make a blueprint for it and draw it out for him, Maybe. LOL

Too funny!! I just saw on my home page that there was a post on the thread by someone named barnbuilder and was sure that another Barnbuilder was going to complement your dad on his work. hee hee. He is THE barnbuilder; I should have known.

I was going to be oldcrow (I love crows and shiny things like brass) and then I thought rosewood (since I like woodworking) but that was already taken, I thought weatheredwood but didn't know if that was PC or not so I went with barnbuilder. Gary
