Coushatta, LA

Yes!!! they grow very fast. It's neat to see a animal like that grow so fast.

Mona in Metcalfe, ON(Zone 5a)

but you get the best part when they are babies and cuddly little warm furballs

Coushatta, LA

Yes that is the best part is loving on them when they are born and as they are growing.

Mama cracker has violet eyes--like Sophie!
Oh---maybe you know--Columbus was thumping--repeatedly at 6 am today, and Pixie says Sophie is a morning thumper also--We don't know why--do you? It is a new behavior for Columbus, though he is a couple of months older than Sophie.

Thank you Flowerjen.

A lady that worked for me used to breed rabbits...they were softer than angora... Do you know what kind they might have been(they were short hair, super soft))? I can't remember the name.

Halifax, MA(Zone 6a)

Jen, those sound like rex bunnies. They are soft like velvet.

Karen

South China, ME(Zone 5a)

I had a Satin Dwarf Rex for many years, she was very, very soft.

Adorable, Gardenia! Black jack will have fun with all those girls. Hope you want babies! How old are they when they become sexually mature? I know mice, rats, guinea pigs, etc. mature pretty young sexually.

Rosegirl I love coco. She has the most beautiful round eyes.

If I remember correctly the woman I bought them from told me at 12 weeks they can start breeding but I am not in any hurry to go running to breed bunnies all over the place w/o knowing anything about them. Is not fair to the animal.

For now we are going to keep them together and once they are a lil older Mr. Blackjack would only be able to look but not touch. LOL!

I am planning out a nice lay out for them outside. I am bit paranoid so things must be A-ok before they get a permanent home outside. We've had a hawk hanging around these past few weeks so they are not going out unless I know it is absolutely, positively safe for them.

Halifax, MA(Zone 6a)

You could always get Blackjack fixed so you could still keep him with the girls. Poor guy will be all alone, otherwise. Seems kind of a bummer for him if he can only look while his hormones are raging.

Karen

I don't mind Arlene.Thank you.We breed our rabbits at 6 months are older.Your rabbits are cute.

LOL!!!Karen

(Arlene) Lakeland, FL(Zone 9a)

I will eventually get him to mate with one of the girls but first I want to make their cages comfortable and save for them and their babies. Once we are all set up he can have all the fun he wants and have a buddy to be with.

Mr. Blackjack is too handsome to leave alone for long. LOL!
