These two kind, nil with dots and aurantia Is on my wishlist for 2009, otherwise I have a lot of seed, of other kinds I shall grow this year too.

I also found seeds to Convolvulus cabtabrucys I am committed to buy, is anybody familiar with this kind?

Hope for many answer Sylvia

Dear Sylvia, what a beautiful name. The speckled mg you are probably talking about doesn't make very many seeds, and is therefore very expensive.
The price for those is 7E to 8E for 3 to 5 seeds. If that doesn't matter to you, thenyou should go to Ebay, home and garden-morning glory seeds and set it for favorite seller jmglvr. Her name is Emma, and she is a treasure. You can send a message to her from Ebay. She is the absolutely the most trustworthy and honest
mg seed seller on ebay. You cannot go wrong with her. She hardly ever posts anything here any more. So go find her on Ebay, make her a favorite seller.
Be sure to tell her what color the speckles are. I think she may have about 3 kinds. I hope this helps in your quest. Please update me on your progress later.

One reason, it seems like we can get Japanese seeds and you cant, is that we used to have an American , in Japan, collecting and selling Japanese MG seeds on ebay. His name was Komeri, but he hasn't sold seeds on ebay for a year time now.

Japanese seeds are very expensive. That is why you only get 3, or 5 , or 10 seeds. And their standards offend Americans. Here, if you put a picture on the seed pack, showing a bright red, all the seeds must produce that color. THAT IS THE LAW.

In Japan, they sell seeds by GROUP, with the picture of the best flower of the group on the seed pack, and no guarantees that you will get one that color. If the emphasis of the group is the foliage, or the strength of the vine, then the color of the flower is less important to them. If you buy just a few seeds, you probably won't get the same color you truely wanted most. And the seeds are very expensive, and that is a Japanese cultural thing.

Remember Japan is an Island, and all of them are salesmen of some kind. Please up date me in a few weeks and let me know if this helps.

Dear Frank, thanks beautiful name you too, My husbands name is Frank, isīnt it funny :o)
Thanks a lot for your good answer, I have Emma on my favouritesellers already, Emma and I have share seed with each other for a couple of years. But I donīt want to beg these speckled from any, as I know they are very expensive and I dont have such exclusive seeds in change, therefor I want to buy som. But not from Japan then, because of your explain, if I donīt know what Iīve got when I buy 5 seeds. I have so littlespace to grow MG because that I have so many kind to try every year, I sow a least 10 to 20 every year, and only have a little space on my porch to grow them. They dont grow outside here even during the summer because itīs to cold for Ipomoea nil. Otherwise I could have a lot because our garden is big. It is the LAW here in Sweden to if it is a picture on the flower the seeds shall be as the picture show, otherwise I can complain and get my money back or new seeds. Well I have to look closer on Ebay, many times a week, perhaps they will come soon there for me to buy.
All the best to you Sylvia

Thanks Colin I have bought from Onalee earlier, but this time I win Emmas auction. So now I will grow spreckled - but I will say MG with dots this year, next year I hope to have 2 colors, but I take 1 step a the time :o)
I shall grow dracula, hederifolior, Kikyo and other, Kikyo was not so big, have grow in my kitchenwindow och flower all winter long. Still alive even that it is a true annual. But it have not produce any pollen in the cold and no seeds because of that, so I think it survive because of that.
Perhaps I will have the same plant with a good rootstock produce more flower than ever this summer.
Took this picture below today from my other one, no name, have not could identificate yet. I thought first it was dracula, look at the funny flower, probably because of dark, cold winter, I have a lot of flower from this plant they looks different for every single flower. also in my kitchenwindow

Hi Julie yes they are lovely and still flower in this middle of the winther. Still no pollen and still no seeds. But it seems like it will survive and wait for spring to start grow and flower again.
Yesterday I had 4 flowers on it. Itīs nice when it snow outside and temperature below zero. It is only 2 steem in the pot. And many leaf have fallen. But it flower one by one the whole time. :o)
