Blue morning glory for part shade?

Bartlett, TN(Zone 7b)

Is there such a thing? lol
I've had several climbers but never a morning glory. Tips, tricks & ideas welcome. I have a corner I might want to use one of these for.

Thanks

How much sun exposure is there? Mostly morning? Afternoon? I think if you had a solid 4 or 5 hours of light ought to be ok to grow a vine. I know brutal bald open sun of the heat of the day is hard on some of the Japanese morning glories.

Thanks Joseph. No, there is a bit of shade in the morning, but overall it is filtered sun - mostly shade. I am planning on a hosta garden and wanted to incorporate a taller vine in a cornered area.

Howdy~ i have had some success with this method: start the seedling/plant off in the sunnier area( in a container ) and move it once it has reached high enough to continue to climb higher, it will naturally do this to go towards the sun.
I have had only a couple succeed but they did get about 9 feet high and flower. They were Pink Rambler. You may be able to try the flying Saucers or a Blue Variety. As Gerris2 said, some, of the JMG's work a little better in the mix but you will need to fertilize and I would definitely use a planter of some sort with bamboo posts for support for the first while...I have to vary it where I am, as too much sun is too hard on the vine, and too much shade makes for no growth~! so, a container is a good idea...
Bon Chance!
