LOL I've been working on some articles today, and I keep taking breaks to browse the forum threads! I need to do more writing, less (figurative) leaping about.
Cottage Garden Seed Swap & Chat #23
LOL - you're just taking an occasional recess!
So glad to hear that Star's Dad came through the surgery all right! : )
Critter, I don't know how you do it either! : )
But, I'm glad you do!

Since I make you all laugh all the time, thought I'd share my funny of the day. I've been busy cooking and cleaning all day - it's a snowy day and I decided to build a fire, bake some bread and homemade soup for when the girls get home......then we can play board games in front of the fire. Well, I enjoy cooking and my favorite cooking website is allrecipes.com. Well, I went on their website to browse around and when the website comes up I'm looking at myself. So I log out and then log back in - I'm still there. Check it out http://allrecipes.com/ yep, that's me. I had no idea! LOL!
Edited to say favorite "cooking" website. ^_^

Oh Star what fun! Not only do we now have the anticipation of goodies, but we got to follow their route too. You did put little mini cameras in each package so we could watch their trip from your PO to ours didn't you? LOL!
Thanks a million girl. You are...well...one in a million!
(Now how about a report on dad?)
Hope ya enjoyed the tour. : )
Ok, We had 7 Surviors and two communities that all benefited from ya all. Postage for them all came to almost $70.00. Then we had one piggy that folks hit hard that had to travel halfway back aroudn the world.
I wanna tel ya what I did, so ya al don't freak when ya get some of your boxes back with all all them bits and piece sof stamps ya sent. This why it was so long in post office.
I wasn't gonan send the one flyign abroad back with all kind sof stamps on it. Would look very tacky. So yu got the stamps and the amoutn of the stamps ya sent was traded back for change for the longhaul flying piggy. Wante d that piggy flyign nice neat and clean. That box flying back was $30.50 abotu what it cost for that piggy to get here.
So for all thos e who sent extra money. Thank you. Without your help all them surviors would not have gotten anythign cuz no way could I take it on myself. Wen they all get their stuff and start showign ya pictures ya can get a warm fuzzy feeling and know ya just spread some love and beauty into a world of depression and heartbreak adn sorrow.
Now I don't know who did it, and happened to find a note or would never have known about those of you that sent an extra buck for me. Appreciated it. Thank you!
For all the letters, cards and gifts that came in the packages. Thank you very much. Gonna enjopy relaxing with the candle in a hot tub of water in just a little bit.
Til I was boxing some of ya had a little bit of change left and ya didn't say what to do with it, so when i regroup will dmail ya and ask. I sealed everythign before I left so no seeds would be fallign out along the way.
Didn't know til I got to po that some of ya the envelopes was over the limit for an envie and so ya ended up going priority too.
Will try either later or tommorrow and start dmailign everybody with their confirmation numbers.
Those who sent checks. They wil be goign into bank sometime at beginign of next week, wanted to get back home before I broke down in cold again.
I knwo there somethig I forgot and if ya have any questions or wonder why I did something, feel free to ask.
Did the best I could and hope everybody is happy when they get their boxes. Please open carefully. : )

Did you have enough money from all of us to pay for the shipping, or should we all send you another dollar or two? I think everyone would be happy to pitch in.

I can't wait to see pics of all the pretty stuff everyone is going to grow this year. Your Dad is still in my prayers.

Star,
Thanks for the Update on your Dad. You are all still in my heart and prayers. : )
In answer to your question, I believe the song goes,
"We, can never know about the days to come,
But, we think about them anywaaaay,
And I wonder, if I'm really with you now,
Or just chasing after some fiiiner day.
Anticipation, anticipaation, is making me late,
Is keeping me waaaaaiting,
And I tell you, how easy it feels to be with you,
How right, your arms feel around meeeee,
Oh I, I rehearsed those words, just late last night,
When I was thinking about how right, tonight might be.
Anticipation, anticipaation, is making me late,
Is keeping me waaaaiting,
And tomorrow, we might not be together,
I'm no prophet, and Lord, I don't know natures waaays,
So I'll try, to see into your eyes right now,
And stay right here, 'cause these are the good old days,
Stay right here, 'cause, these are the good the old days,
These are the good old days,
These are the good old days,
These are the good old days,
These aaaare, the good old days!"
Carly Simon
You know, these really are the good old days! Yes, we do have some problems and concerns, but really when you count the friendships and laughter formed from this piggy seed swap, not to mention the seeds we are anticipating, these really are the good old days! : )
Thanks for the trip down memory lane, and the photo trip to the PO in town, Star. The postal worker must have been wondering about all those piggy packages! OH, Anticipaaation! : )
'Chele, I'm so proud of you! What a nice surprise! Yes, I'm drooling over homemade bread! Snowing again? Does that mean snow flowers will soon be ablooming? Keep us posted.
