He is located about an hour north of Branson, MO, in case you need a reason to "vacation & shop" in the area. He is only 2 or so miles from Route 66, if that helps make the decision. Lots to see and do!
Personally, I can't wait to go!! He is only 1 1/2 hours west of me!

Jasper, AR(Zone 7a)

Oh yeah-- I went to Dave's today-- got 2 more micros-- little wood nymph & razzmatazz & an Ozark fireworks--thought I got 3 micros but the other is a teeny(bopper) av. Going back in about 3 weeks;)

Williston, ND

you got 2 STREPS TOO,hehehehe,so what streps did you get

Jasper, AR(Zone 7a)

Quit grinning Jim;) I got Lavender Rosette & Tiger Lily

Gran, do you by chance have a photo of your new 'Teeny Bopper' that you'd be willing to let me use in an upcoming article? I've got a great photo (from begoniacrazii) of a mature blue-ribbon 'Teeny Bopper', and I'd love to show a little plant next to it.

Also, and I know I'm going off topic here, but if anybody has a trailing AV that's really trailing down and past the bottom edge of its pot (hanging basket style), I'd love a photo for the article. I have a couple of mine that have trailed down past the edge of the pot to the shelf, but none that are really cascading further than that.

Thanks!

Portland, ME

I have a pic of a Teeny Bopper I had if you want it... Wasn't "show quality" but was/is a good pic, lemme know if you wanna see it :-)

Frederick, MD(Zone 6b)

Thanks! I'm looking for a photo of a small "starter" plant... ?

Portland, ME

Guess the closeup really doesn't show the fact it was a baby at the time I took the pic.. But oh well, here it is anyway :-)

Do not know What the article is about--or the intent of the pic, but if you are needing a starter plant that has not flowered, I have that. Otherwise, the above photo is an excellent representation of Teeny Bopper.
The reason I came to this thread is that when I got up this am--I took some pics--BEFORE coffee!

Very pretty Phoebe-- I see you are mastering your camera!!!!

Thanks----Gran--is Teeny Bopper a trailer? I can't remember. If not, then there are at least 3 plants in this 2" pot!

Yep it is a miniature trailer-- it is just too cute!! I can't wait for blooms. Got another mini AV while I was there --Pink Dove--it is cute too. I coulda spent a fortune while I was at Daves---had to save something for the next trip!!

Land of OZ, CT(Zone 6a)

Thanks again--Haven't heard about Pink Dove--can you post a pic here?
Edit--Here's a link from that website Lin posted last week on another thread

M3 & HGran, you've got Dmail! Thanks for posting those photos. :-)

I'm working on an introductory DG article on trailing African violets. It's actually turned into 2 articles, as I found myself cutting out too much information and ending up with one "dense" article. The first article will be an introduction to growing trailers (their existence comes as a surprise to most people) and will hopefully be scheduled this month. Then I'll have an article discussing pruning, propagating, and grooming/training trailers.

I know I need to get out of "lurk" mode and start posting more on this forum again. Right now, a lot of my time is going into getting a seed co-op sorted out... but this forum is still one of my favorite DG communities!
