Just think come spring/summer though...you can sit out there with your Tropical...ummmm smoothie while breathing in the most glorious scents imaginable....ahhhhh!!!! For those that don't have Brugs the 'Charles Grimaldi' really does have an amazing, wafting spicy evening scent when in bloom. DO NOT BUY one of these though. I can get you a cutting from mine - he's not huge but can spare a cutting or two.
And I sooo did not start this...folks over on the fragrant forum kidnapped me some time ago and have yet to release me...
Scented plants, only the nose knows!
Chantelle---
I forget........did you and I agree to trade Brug cuttings a while back?
I have Maya--and you have CG, or Dr. Seuss. If so--is your cutting rooted? Mine are.
Let me know--and we can bring them to the seed swap.
Thanks, Gita
Yes Gita - I believe it was your Maya and my Dr. Seuss...which reminds me I need to get the cuttings into soil...they've rooted enough...ugh!!!
Hope the cuttings transition from water to soil!
I have learned (the hard way) that they do much better being put in soil right away.
Everything I have tried in water first has not done well--or even survived.
OK! It's a deal! Mine are almost getting root-bound in their 5" pots!
Sally--Did I promise you one also? I have plenty.......all doing well.....Anything else?
Don't sell the ones you have so-so looking--short. If they have green on them, they are probably more rooted than you think. I think having mine under the grow lights really helped.
Soon I will have to pot them up and they will have to fend just by window light as mu grow lights will all be taken up with seeds.
Gita
My surviving brugs cuttings are on bottom heat so I am approaching carefully lest I be thrown back by shooting foliage~~Plumeria lost all but one leaf, but new baby leaves are starting- it has a nice south facing window.
