Have you ever propagated Red Trumpet Vine Flemeco?

Central, AL(Zone 7b)

Since it is said to be a cultivar. Will the seeds yield truth to its parentage? Specifically, will the flowers turn out red? Instead of the common campsis radican's orange trumpet flowers? Since both the species and cultivar are said to be invasive. I'm not certain I need to risk the effort of nursing something that will turn out invasive in my zone. Please advise.

Well is this the vine or just a bush type? If it is the vine yes they are invasive. About them coming true I don't know . They are a lot like honeysuckle vines once started they are hard to get rid of unless you keep them trimmed back and under control. My Sister had some and she thought she had gotten rid of it about 3 years ago but this past spring she found some growing again.

I was looking for the above vine but got the red trumpet vine's seeds instead. The above is called a scarlet trumpet vine.

Here is the one that I'm looking for:

I found this vine locally back in 2006, frost killed it that winter, and I've been searching for the replacement ever since.

Well what your looking for maybe something different as to what I call a trumpet vine. There are many varities of this vine and we are most likely talking about 2 different varities of the same species.
