Tips on chinese cooking

Went to the store to buy one of those stir fry skillets, a wok I think they are called?
They have stainless steel or a non stick coated. Which one should I get?
There were several different brands as well, too confusing.
I don't cook much Chinese food. I just never have, so any tips would be appreciated.
