Silkie why are they on a dud egg?
frill backs starting to hatch!!
cuz it wasn't fertile 2nd round either i just pulled it out, i hadn't candled before that. 3rd times a charm i guess. they don't do it right this time i'm splitting up the pair and putting new mates with them to see how that works.
Don't blame ya i'd split them up too.
LOL I thought a 'dud' egg was a fake one you put under them for some very important bird breeding function. I get it now, it's a infertile real egg. Poor little birdies waiting for their impossible egg to hatch.
