catnip???

My neighbors have a ton of outside cats (no problem with mice even with fields around). I am afraid they will get into my new garden, If I plant catnip will they just visit it and stay out of my flowers?????? Julie

I have cats and they want to use my garden for a bathroom at times, but they have never hurt any of my flowers. Whenever I garden the male cat will start calling to me as he comes to see me. It is pretty cool.

I have a cat and other than the bathroom thing they never bother my garden. I also have catnip and they don't bother that either. Well actually the cat is really bothering my new trees. He like to attack the tags when they blow ing the wind.
Now the dog is another subject all together...thinking about changing her name to "Plant-B-Gone".

Julie, I am the exception here! I planted it last year in my garden and could not keep Rufus (one of my many kitties) out of it. He slept in it, ate it, rubbed in it, etc. etc...It was really funny to watch him. I guess it would be kinda' like me if you would turn me loose in a chocolate factory...Lisa

I have three cats and back home in England they all rolled in the catnip. They loved it! I love them so much I didn't care. Now they are in the US with me but don't go outside so I grow catnip and grass in a pot and put it on the screen porch for them.
