Plant named Zanymuse

(Zone 8a)

My dear, sweet, little 80 year old friend was potting up a lot of "tree geranium" seedlings from her yard for the May plant sale. She asked me to help her find the correct name for the plants, so I looked around on DG and found a thread about Malvacea-Lavatera arborea 'Variegata' with a picture. I copied the thread and gave it to my friend, never thinking that she doesn't have a computer so doesn't know about forums. When I arrived late for the plant sale, only a couple of "tree geraniums" were left and I about died when I read the lables: Zanymuse, 3-5 ft, lavender flowers. I didn't have the heart to tell her that Zanymuse was the person writing about the plant. So, Zanymuse, you could become famous around here.

It couldn't be named after a better example of a dear sweet person than Zany. Can we call it Zany for short or maybe just the Z plant. I sure am glad to know some one famous. I saw a person with a superman S tattoo today. Maybe we should all get a Z tattoo. Of course it would have to be one that is removable. Can't you see all our kids and grandkids coming from Walmarts with the Z TATTOO KIT. Jim

When I buy a new plant I go online and see what I can find out about it. Can you imagine the frustration when they type in Zanymuse and are refered to my now defunct home page or to a thread here! I tried it for laughs and came up with a whole lot of links to DG! So at least they will reach a garden site!

What a cute story. Everyone is going to want the Zanymuse plant now.......how wonderful. Zany, famous in your own way.
You're a blossom in my book.
