How was your day.....118 ??

Rowlett, TX(Zone 8a)

We are waiting the arrival of another winter cold front due to move through the area some time this afternoon. This after temps yesterday of 70's and so far today its close to that already..but then temps will drop to the cellar and only have a high tomorrow of the 30's....ain't winter wonderful?? LOL .. At least we dont get the snow that usually accompanies the winter like so many of the rest of you do. I am thankful for that.

I wanted to go to Garden Ridge today but with the crowds that are sure to be out today plus I REALLY need to do some cleaning around here...guess I will stay home and be productive. We used to have a business that was called Cimmaron Pottery that sold..you guessed it...all sizes and shapes of pottery. Loved shopping there but it closed down and now the only thing close is Garden Ridge...and they are a lot more expensive. I have a lot of cactus plants and need new pots for some of them. But its not something that has to be done today so will wait until things slow down after the holidays.

It sure doesnt seem much like Christmas around here, because of the cats, we dont decorate or put up a tree..and because of the finances in general plus everyone being grown, we dont bother with the presents, either...kind of a bummer at times, so I try not to think about it to stay out of a depressed state. This is the only time of year that I struggle with depression and try not to allow more things to encourage it. I guess I have always been this way, remember as a child, being weepy and sad at this time of year..I wonder why that is....(and no..I do not take any anti-depression drugs).

Mama-san on the prowl....
