I found this spider on my son's boat. I thought he had a very cute face!! We live in Southwest Florida. (Port Charlotte)
CLOSED: Can anyone identify this spider?
This is a jumping spider (family Salticidae) in the genus Phidippus - see http://www.pbase.com/tmurray74/image/85232335 for an example.
Thank you! I'm glad that he didn't jump on me!!
oh, i just love those little guys. they're the only ones allowed to live in the house....
I love them too. The y can startl you if they jump but we handl them and are never bitten.
I love them, they have such cute little faces :)
I only have eyes for yooouuuuu.LOL! We have a little fuzzy black w/ white spots, jumping spider that are just adorable...a face only a mother could love. I like to freak my garden club members out by playing with them. I've trained everyone that comes to my house that we don't kill around here.....except copperheads.....and occasionaly black widows spiders.
