What would cause this?

I was out this morning before work looking at some of my MGs that are blooming again. Warm weather here.

I saw something interesting on a leaf. Here is the vine in question ...

The leaves on this vine are solid green except ...

If you look closely, you will see the white outer border on the middle leaf. What would cause this. I looked at the leaf and it is actual coloration, not a fungus or a disease.

Here is the bottom of the vine. No white border on any other leaves.

That's strange Becky, I has something similar to that on my HB vine this summer. Only one leaf and not really variegated but with white no the less. I though maybe I would get a distorted flower or something odd along with it but nothing like that occurred.

Maybe it is a nutrient deficiency? It probably isn't since the other leaves don't exhibit the "symptom".
