Watseka, IL(Zone 5a)

I was doing the chicken poo tea outside no problem.. but in the house? But that was on my containered outdoor veggies.

Hmmmmm -dilute -dilute -dilute for the houseplants??!

Egg shells and coffee for some.. but I dont drink coffee. Wished I did but cant get past the smell of that, yet, chicken poo, I can use...go figure..

I wished I had a source for the coffee grounds. I could use them on my blue hydrangea that is now pink and green! Ok, what to sub for that?

Watseka, IL(Zone 5a)

Watseka, IL(Zone 5a)

Ok, today Im having issues with the wax begonias in the house....
Cant figure out if I am watering too much or not enough....a few are looking a tad puny and the leaves tear easy...not that I am trying to tear them, just when I pick the lost leaves or flowers out of the pots, I fat finger them in the process on occassion and ripppp!

Is there hope for them? Not all are doing it, just the ones in the smaller cells...

Ashdown, AR(Zone 8a)

the only wax begonia I have inside...and have had for about 3 yrs,is Pink Charm a variegated variety. It's in serious need of a good pruning so I'll have more stuff to kill over winter.

Watseka, IL(Zone 5a)

Um, aintcha gonna try to strick some cutters?

Well....heres my newb rexs for you to gaulk at....

So yano, those other rexes I got, they are nice and pot bound and huge in their 3 inch pots... I hope later I can just divide them.. da ya thing that would work? I seriously like dont wanna kill them and here I am asking advice of a cereal klobberer! LOL!

hcmcdole, I have no clue really! but I thought it was lovely... cant wat till it blooms.

I have 4 very nice rex right now and so far this year I am actually having luck with plants in my house. I have 8 huge sweet bell green peppers in big pots in my laundry room under lights. Maybe its because I brought in so many. I actually have some humidity that I can feel. So far we have not had the heat on so its cool in here, but not cold yet. Although I did have one or two nites I had a space heater on to warm up the north room which I have no plants in.

Im finding the rexes like to dry out so I finger them and when dry, they get their water.. so far for me, so good!

Powder Springs, GA(Zone 7b)

You might change your mind later on when it comes to rexes but I hope they do well for you all winter. Lots of folks quit growing them after a few failures which is a shame. They should at least grow them as annuals since they are so bright and cheery.

Heres mine....group shot!

Not sure what your saying I will change my mind about!
