Hi Ken,

I have a Millipede Blaniulus guttulatus.

Could you please add the Family: Blaniulidae
Order: Julida

Thanks!

Now I'm going to turn this into an ID question, lol. I came across another which mine could be, but there seems to be some mixing up of two species. Cylindroiulus punctatus,

Mine was only about 10mm or less long, less than 1mm wide which does fit Blaniulus guttulatus. Not sure about the colour though, the Pied Piper lists it as the most common on cultivated soil although this was in my bathroom!

The link doesn't work for some reason but you can access Pied Piper from the goolge link.

The spots look too high, nearer the top of the body than mine are in the pics on Bioimages.

Maybe hold fire until I can find out for sure!

I've done some asking around and I think it is a young Cylindroiulus punctatus, which is in the Family Julidae so no need for a new Family just now. :) These are climbers where the other lives underground and comes to the surface when very wet.

All very interesting, following your research. I will accept your decision and will delay adding the family until you do find one!

Now I have to get searching, lol!

I have as good as confirmed this as Cylindroiulus punctatus through people who have the information, so will add it shortly!
